Red Balau (Batu) is primarily used for decking, this species is very consistent in color. Named “Red” for a reason as it is very red in color. This wood is from Southeast Asia. In recent years Red Balau has become more popular due to its availability.  This will not have the same characteristics as the Brazilian woods we offer, such as lifespan, resistance to elements, and durability. However, it is a cost-effective alternative to the higher prices hardwoods we offer. It is also very beautiful and it is regarded as a great option for any deck.
