Penofin Ultra Premium Red Label is the top-of-the-line exterior penetrating oil finish, formulated with sustainably harvested Brazilian Rosewood Oil that soaks into wood fibers far deeper than competing stains. Designed for maximum performance in harsh weather—rain, wind, snow, and high-elevation UV—Red Label provides 99% UV protection with extra transoxide pigments and high-grade mildewcide to prevent mold and mildew growth. Works on all wood species, both softwood and hardwood. Semi-transparent finish preserves the freshly-milled look. Coverage: 175–300 sq. ft. per gallon on softwoods, ~400 sq. ft. on hardwoods. Apply with brush, pad, or sprayer. 250 VOC compliant in all 50 states.

- Always wipe off excess oil within 20 to 30 minutes of application; dense hardwoods like Ipe cannot absorb surplus material, and failure to wipe will result in a tacky, non-drying surface.
- Ensure wood moisture content is below 15% before application to ensure the Rosewood oil can properly penetrate the tight grain of tropical species.
- Avoid applying in direct sunlight or when the wood surface is hot to the touch, as the oil may dry too quickly on the surface before it can penetrate the wood fibers.

Apply a wood cleaner/brightener to remove mill glaze, dirt, and oxidation. Rinse thoroughly and let the deck dry for 24-48 hours before oiling.
Apply Penetrating Oil
Brush or pad a generous coat of penetrating oil (like Ipe Oil® or UV Plus) along the grain. Let the oil soak in for 15-20 minutes, then wipe off any excess that hasn't been absorbed.
Seal All End Cuts
