The low-profile trim-style head sits nearly flush with hidden deck fasteners or deck surfaces when face screwing, creating a clean, refined appearance. Type-17 auger point penetrates even the hardest exotic woods, while the T15 six-lobe star drive prevents cam-out and increases torque. Available in 6 Colormatch painted-head colors: Shadowline Black, Hardwood Brown, Cedar, Rosy Brown, Outdoor Grey, and unpainted Stainless Steel. Set screws flush with the surface or just barely countersunk. Over-driving creates water-collecting craters that accelerate checking around each hole.
Two Screws Per Joist Crossing
Place one screw roughly 1″ from each board edge at every joist. This prevents cupping and ensures the board stays flat over time.
